NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a once-a-year all-India entrance examination for MBBS admission. According to the NMC Act 2019, the NEET Undergraduate (UG) is the single entrance exam for admission to all medical colleges across India, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
From 2012 onwards, the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) was replaced by the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (UG), also known as NEET-UG. NEET is a competitive entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS degrees held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until 2018.

What is the eligibility for NEET (UG)

As per the eligibility criteria of NEET applicant must be at least 17 years old. The maximum age limit for appearing in NEET is 25 years for General category and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates.

Also, candidates must have passed or appearing in for class 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-Technology (PCB) subjects with 50% and for SC, ST and OBC category 40%. From 2012 onwards, the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) was replaced by the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (UG), also known as NEET-UG. As per the Letter dated 09 March 2022, received from National Medical Commission, Under Graduate Medical Education Board pertaining to the upper age limit, that there should be no upper age limit as decided in the fourth NMC meeting held on 21 October 2021.

General Category – 50% (Physically Handicapped, PH – 45%)

OBC/SC/ST – 40% (PH – 40%)

Note: The marks scored for Math would not be taken into consideration in this exam

There will be a total of 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

  • Candidates who are appearing for their board exams in the year 2023 – Eligible
  • Candidates who have appeared for Class 12 exam and appearing for an improvement exam – Eligible
  • Students who have appeared for the Class 12 exam in 2022 and have taken an improvement exam in 2023, can mention the year of the exam with a better score.

Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

DHA Test format

The purpose of the DHA test is to select registered nurses as well as assistant nurses. A registered nurse should have successfully completed the bachelor's programme in nursing whereas an assistant nurse should have completed the general nursing course. The computer aided DHA test for both consists of 150 MCQs to be answered in 2 hours and 45 minutes. HAAD Test format

There are two major categories of nurses in Abu Dhabi: Registered Nurse and Practical Nurse. A registered nurse should have a four-year bachelor degree in nursing and not less than two years of work experience. On the other hand, a practical nurse should have completed a general nursing course along with a minimum of two years of work experience.

Scoring

The first stage of the HAAD Exam is DATAFLOW verification. The process is so named because the task of verifying the relevant documents and checking the background is exclusively entrusted to DATAFLOW, a Dubai-based private company. A candidate is permitted to register for the test only after his/her candidature has been approved by DATAFLOW on validating the documents. The whole process is completed in a maximum of 45 working days. The test centres in south-India are Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. There are centres in North India as well.
HAAD is a computer-based MCQ test with four options for each question. The Registered Nurse is required to answer 150 questions in three hours whereas a Practical Nurse has two hours to answer 140 questions. Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Admission Exam (KEAM)

Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Admission Exam, or KEAM for short, is a state-level entrance examination administered by the Commission of Entrance Examination (CEE). Karnataka Examination Authority -Common Entrance Test (KEA - CET)

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is a government agency in the Indian state of Karnataka responsible for conducting various entrance exams and facilitating admissions to various professional courses in the state, such as engineering, medical, and dental courses, among others kea full form. Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE)

Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is an entrance exam held for admission in government law colleges and government merit seats in private self-financing law colleges. The law courses for which KLEE is held are 3 years LLB, 5 years LLB and LLM. Candidates who pass the exam can participate in the KLEE centralised allotment process (CAP) for the allotment of seats in the law colleges. There are 4 law colleges and around 20 private self-financing law colleges in Kerala that participate in CAP.
The exam is held in a computer-based test format at various test centres in the state of Kerala. In the KLEE exam, 200 MCQ type questions are asked. The total marks on the paper are 600 and the exam duration is two hours. Separate exams are held for 3 years LLB, 5 years LLB and LLM courses.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

The Common Law Admission Test, also known as CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam that is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses. The exam is conducted for admission to 24 NLUs for UG courses and 21 NLUs for PG courses. The exam is conducted in the offline, pen and paper format wherein candidates have to attempt questions from English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quanttitative Mathematics for UG course, and from Constitutional Law, and other law subjects like Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law, and IPR.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET)

Common University Entrance Test also known as CUET, is a national-level entrance exam. CUET provides a common platform and equal opportunities for all aspirants across India. NTA conducts this entrance exam for admission to UG courses offered in all the central universities and other participating universities in India. CUET UG is conducted across more than 300 cities in India in 13 mediums. The exam is conducted in online mode. The duration of the CUET exam is dependent upon the subjects chosen by the candidate.
